The Aspiring Geopark Uberaba - Terra de Gigantes invites everyone to the dossier presentation event to the community. In consideration of your collaboration in the development of actions and projects for the implementation of the Uberaba Geopark, your presence is more than fundamental in this moment of celebration. Next Friday, December 16th, the four governance institutions of the Uberaba Geopark Project – Terra de Gigantes: Uberaba City Hall, Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ), Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM) and Brazilian Service of Support for Micro and Small Companies (Sebrae), will present to the community the dossier of the project to the candidate that was sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in search of the seal of UNESCO. The event will take place at the City Hall of Uberaba, at 2:30 pm. During the event, representatives of the UFTM signatory will show in detail the entire project that was elevated to the category of aspiring world geopark, becoming part of a select list of territories to be approved by the agency, as special areas of the planet and to become the first territory with international relevance in Minas Gerais. Also during the event there will be the launch of the Geopark website and the awarding of the II Photography Contest to the three winners: José Henrique Martins (1st place with the photo - Cachoeira Vale Encantado Geosite); Fabiano Augusto Silva (2nd place with the photo Geossítio Univerdecidade); and Lilian Veronezi (3rd place with the photo Intangible Heritage - Congada, mozambique, afoxé, catupés and villain). The Aspirante Geopark Uberaba team is immensely grateful for the partnership in recent years that culminated in the opportunity to become a World Geopark, soon.
